Throwing Hand is Grass Roots Philanthropy. The term Throwing Hand originated in West Africa and expanded throughout the Caribbean. The basic principle is that every member of a group makes a standard contribution to a common fund during a certain time period. Originally, all of the members of the group would take turns and receive the total sum collected. This practice also became known as a Susu. Over time, (in the Caribbean) Throwing Hand became a term used whenever one person with the ability assisted another person. Throwing Hand is a great way to generate funds and also engage people at the same time. The goal of the Eden Wellness Foundation Throwing Hand campaign is to galvanize 1,000 philanthropist who want to make a difference in Africa to donate $1,000 dollars every year to the Eden Wellness Foundation. Every $1,000 donor becomes a Partner and receives a “I Made A Difference“ Crystal Award and is a Member of the I Made A Difference Community Fellowship. We believe that many people would gladly assist in the restoration of Africa if they were given a proper opportunity. 

Eden Wellness Foundation is that proper opportunity. Eden Wellness Foundation promotes and develops African Centered Education in Ghana and provides the basic funding for the Eden Wellness Institute. Eden Wellness Foundation will establish 20 African Centered Education schools in 5 years. We also offer financial contributions to selected Special Projects. The Eden Wellness Foundation is the financial engine of the Eden Wellness Institute and fills a need in the fabric of Ghana by promoting Self-Sufficiency and Unity in Ghana. To achieve total self-sufficiency, 5% of all the Partner donations will be placed in a Eden Wellness Foundation investment ac-count.
